New babies for Rainesgift Hucklebery Finn to Lizzlog

It has been an eventful couple of months for Mr Finley, he has become a daddy at last ...and twice over. Firstly to Gemma Knights Candidacasa Scarlett Knight Gemswin . Scarlett gave birth to 6 boys and 6 girls on the 12th November.
On the 15th December Finn then became the proud father of 4 boys and 5 girls born to Christin Price's lovely girl SH CH. Llantrussa Raisin Pie.
Looking forward to watching these puppies grow and wishing everyone involved lots of fun with these babies ...

Coedylan puppies

The Coedylan puppies are off to their new homes over the next week or so. Unfortunatley the extreme weather is conspiring against us and putting a dampner on my visiting the babies. Luckily Gill and Dave are a dab hand with the video camera and video's keep winging their way to me. Congratulations Ronnie and Susan Ross as Seymour son Islstrom Quillan gains his third Reserve CC at Gundog Breeds of Scotland. The day was made all the more sweet as Quillans neice Islstrom Torrachilty on her first outing won her minor puppy class and went Best Puppy in Breed. Congrats Ronnie and Susan x

Rainesgift Christmas Cards and Notelets

For the last two years I have been selling Christmas cards designed by a friend Rona Duncan. Rona had her first Flat Coat "Bridie" from my first litter in 1992 , next came Darcy (sired by Wheelers Black Rain) followed by Brea (SH CH Here Comes the Rain) and lastly Seymours sister Skye. N.E.F.R.A Championship Show

N.E.F.R.A held it's Championship Show on Sunday and the Rainesgift breeding had a good day !!
The bitch judging was done by Chris Atkinson who judged N.E.F.R.A back in 1999 his co judge then was Karen Joyce and Karen was his co judge again on Sunday.
Rainesgift Summer Thyme at Steeplehouse (JW) won Veteran bitch. Summer went Best Puppy In Show at Darlington when Chris judged her in 2002.
Rainesgift Renn with Kilbourne gained a third in Veteran .
Rainy Day and Sundays won a third in Special Veteran showed her socks off and loved her day out!!
The beautiful Remus/Rosie daughter Lizzlog Lacey's Enigma won both Junior and Yearling.
Rainesgift Fleur De Luna won a lovely Graduate class and was absolutely full of it and was a bugger to show!!
Rainesgift Clemence came second in her second Limit class, not bad as this was her first outing since having the boys. She loved every minute and was a pain in the bum as usual!!
Rainesgift Over The Moon was second in his Graduate Class.
Rainesgift Hucklebery Finn to lizzlog won a second in his class handled by Gemma Knight .
A very excited Rainesgift Seymour came third in Open.
A good days showing !!
Congrats to all the winners and to N.E.F.R.A for putting on a good show !!

Remus becomes a dad again

Peggy (Marjosi Silver Lining at Coedylan)  has had her babies ... 5 girls and 1 boy mum and babies are doing well. Congratulations to Gill and Dave Simons on their first litter.

Recent visitors

Last week we were treated to the company of Wies Boermans from Holland and Barbel Gamon from Germany. Wies and Barbel showed at the Midland Counties Show under Ann Danabie. Wies's Brightmoor Irish Mist (Misty) gained a second and the Remus/Rosie son Lizzlog Double Agent (Darwin) a third.
The Rainesgift gang enjoyed showing them around Belper , especially the River Derwent!!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday !!!

Remus and Luna and their siblings Cosmo, Fenn ,Gollie and Ella were 3 years old yesterday. Remus and Luna celebrated as always by running around and in and out of the river !!!

The Midlanders stormed the Borders at the Weekend to take the top honours at The Joint Championship Show held in Lanark .

Dog CC was taken by the Swedish Import Calzeat Causa Commotion at Flatcharm.

Denver was bred by Anette Dyren but now resides with Kelly Holland in the exclusive village of Cubley Near Ashbourne Derbyshire.

Reserve Dog CC was my and Belper's very own Rainesgift Over the Moon, better known as Mr Remus!!

Bitch CC and Best In Show was Leicestershire's Jane and Brian Jones's Benvellyn Cape Grace

Reserve bitch CC went to Helen Fox and Nottinghamshire's finest the gorgeous Blue Like Jazz who as a 6 month old puppy gave me goose bumps as she moved round the ring !!

Many thanks to the Scottish Society for hosting a great show, to Kelly and Alex for the car art and to Roz and Gemma (congrats to Hugo Boss for a much deserved win in Minor puppy dog) for such a great weekend !!!!

I have been to visit Jack and his mum Margaret Melrose today ... he is being thoroughly ruined and is an exceptionally loved little man !

Today was Jacks first puppy training class and he was a star pupil , Margaret was thrilled to bits with him !!

Mr Remus to be a dad again

Mr Remus is due to be a dad again, Marjosi Silver Lining at Coedylan has been scanned in whelp and her owners Dave and Gill Simons are sooo excited !! The puppies are due to be born around November 2nd and I wish all the best to Dave and Gill on their first litter !!!

I have received an email off Barbel Gamon to say that Remus and Rosie son Darwin (Lizzlog Double Agent) has just completed his first hunt test over in Germany. Barbel says that she is so proud of him and that he worked so well with the live Duck.
Well done Barbel and Darwin....looking forward to picking up with you in England this year xxx

You go all the way to The Isle of Mull and ...

Whilst on holiday I received a phone call from Ken and Sandra Rees to say that one of their Remus puppies was also holidaying on Mull .... half an hour later we had the pleasure of meeting Gaia (Eskwinds Dire Straits) and her lovely owners. She was an absoloute sweetie and has totally converted her owners to the joys of the Flat Coat !!!!
