Very sadly on December 28th we had to say goodbye to our Border Terrier Maisie Mouse. Maisie was 14 and a half Years Old and had many in operable Mammary Tumours and the decision had to be made to let her go with dignity.
She made sure she came out with the Flat Coats right till the end and having been a very avid swimmer most of her life played in the flood water with the dogs.

Maisie has been the best little dog in the world, coming to work with me whilst working for Eukanuba, enjoying many family holidays and keeping up with the pack at all costs, even swimming out in the sea and Rivers.
She was fantastic with the kids ... eventually. In later life she eventually behaved herself and stopped swinging on other peoples dogs and even grew to love the cats and enjoyed hanging out with them and the Chucks in the garden ... something that certainly could NEVER of happened in her younger days !!

Maisie liked to sit on vistors knees, but only on her terms. She never allowed anyone to pick her up other than her mum and her favourite people.
She had two litters of puppies with quite a few going locally. She was a fantastic mum and loved any puppies born in the house, she couldn't wait until they were old enough for her to begin cleaning their ears. She was chief ear cleaner for the Rainesgift Pack and took her job very seriously
