A sunny day in June

The dogs and I have have had a wondeful afternoon out today ... a good two hours of hurling themselves around in Ambergate Resevoir and generally acting crazy.
I have gone a little snap happy today and have uploaded the results on Flickr ..... sorry just pictures of wet black dogs again ... http://www.flickr.com/photos/22948823@N07/sets/72157624230477291/
But there are some cute ones of the pups in the buttercups, that didn't turn out as well I hoped as the boys wanted to stay with me the whole time !!!!

Mr and Mrs Jacobs and the wedding of the year

At the weekend one of my closest doggy pals Gemma "Gemswin" Knight married Mr Mark Jacobs at what became a fantastic day and night at a wonderful venue.
Many members of the Flat Coat world (including myself as one of the Bridesmaids) were in attendence to see Gemma and Mark married as were all of the Gemswin gang including Joel who sang his way through the ceremony. A fantastic day and night was had by all .
Gemma and Mark have gone off on their honeymoon in a purposely designed Mobile home complete with three of the dogs and a brand new Camera given as a gift by all of their Flat Coat friends from both here and abroad.
Here wishing Gems and Mark all the love and luck in the world for their future together xxx

Rainesgifts First In Line and Second to None

The boys are now nearly 11 weeks and are still a joy , now in a routine the boys are training very well . Seth has named them Mo and Linus ...so far. Mo is one clever little man ... he has mastered the cat flap and will take himself off upstairs if he ges the chance. Linus is unfortunately too wide to fit through the cat flap and is a real hugger.

Introducing Delilah

Last week was such a difficult week with the low outweighing the SO many highs!!
Firstly ....
On Sunday 6th Delilah was born, sired by Remus and out of Bounty (Eskmill Rising Moon at Ravencrag). This little girl is thriving considering Bounty has other ideas for her singleton ...Helen on day 4 writes "I'm up watching Bounty - she is a lot more settled now she understands there is just the one - I removed 13 soft toys from the whelping box yesterday because it was getting out of hand. Remus' daughter is a VERY NOISY drinker. She now weighs 1lb 9oz". I'm looking forward to watching this little girl grow!!

Hempths Linnet for Rainesgift (IMP) 23/04/03 - 06/06/10

I have written this deleted it and re written it so many times that I now just have to say it ....

Linnet sadly lost her life on Sunday she just went to sleep and never woke up ... she was 10 days off having her puppies which has made it all the more unbearable.
Seth is devastated as Linnet was his favourite .We have buried her at a friends where we often walk which Seth takes great comfort in.
I have to say a huge thankyou to all my friends who have rang me and have been patient while I haven't been able to speak for tears , left me lovely messages , sent me cards and flowers and thanks to those who have left me alone !!!
It is so hard to come back on the yard and have no barking just total silence when it was the one thing I could have happily killed her for .
Linnet was a happy dog with a heart of gold and never had a cross word with any dog. She was enjoying playing grandma to Clem's boys . Her special "finds" out on walks will always stay with me and make me laugh and her love for Sandy the Labrador never failed to amuse me.
I have put my three favourite pictures of her to this blog ...they sum her up.

I'm going to miss you Linney Lou xxx
