Yorkshire Game Fair

The Rainesgifts have represented the Flat Coated Retriever up at the Yorkshire Game Fair at Harewood House near Leeds today. Hayley Walker, Seth and I along with Remus, Luna, Rosie and Lacey joined Roz Bellamy and Fleur in the Gundog tent and Gundog Demonstrations.
Seth ran Fleur in the Junior working tests coming third place ...he's absolutely thrilled to bits!!
First and second were 14 and 15 year olds with their dads Labradors!!
Hayley (the little one) with Lacey and Rosie Roz with Fleur and Luna and Seth with Remus do the Gundog Demonstration.
Lacey has her first sniff of Ferret whilst in the Gundog Tent
Fleur picks up dummies to show off the Flat Coated Retriever and it's working skills
Mr Remus just looks handsome to get all the cuddles!!!

Thanks again Roz for the invite x

N.E.F.R.A show

Sunday was an excellent days showing with the Rainesgifts and Rainesgift lines featuring heavily in the line ups. The Judge for the day was Pam Lynott (as seen on TV and "I have met JLS" fame) of the Avening Flat Coats.

The day started well with Remus winning Graduate Dog , Seymour then won Open and went on to win Best Dog in Show.
Next the girls and Luna won a third in Graduate , Renn won her Veteran (7-11 years) class. Berrie won a second in Special Veteran , beaten by her niece Stranfaer Spruce Goose.

The day was capped beautifuly by Seymour taking Reserve Best In Show and Renn winning Best Veteran In Show.

The day was run fantastically by Karen Joyce's NE.F.R.A team .Much fun was had with friends and on the impromptu (forced) Scurry. Renn, Seymour,Remus,Luna and the 12 year old Berrie all had a go and loved it!
Many thanks to Helen Fox for handling Mr Remus so beautifully for me and a huge congratulations to Dawn Hall who continued her run of much deserved winning by going Best In Show with Dizzy Blacktoft I'm No Angel for Ghilgrange xx

The boys are now 4 and a half weeks and experiencing life outside the box. The other dogs have all been to visit with the funniest being Remus, he didn't dare go in the box himself so he tried to pick them up and bring them out!!
